Sol By Melia Barbados Hotel - Magaluf (Mallorca)

The view was great and the rooms were good.

The A/C didn't work there was a dog barfing outside 24/7 the food wasn't really good, very dry tbh. It doesn't reach the 4 star limit and it's not a good value for the money.

A 4 star hotel that does not have any toiletries toothbrush etc a very important detail when you travel with just enough carry-on luggage

Great location, comfortable rooms on quoted side of magaluf. Would recommend .

Good location and amazing sea view

Lunch and dinner were bad most of the time. Very bad business centre and Internet was not working from time to time. Really noisy

The hotel was lively and clean with magnificent views of the beach. Its location was amazing, close enough to the lovely shops, Palma Nova beach, and Santa Ponsa. Had supper enjoying drinks at nearby Ancla Verde.

We enjoyed our vacation at Sol Antillas very much. We stayed in a room with a view of the sunrise and the beach. The rooms actually look better than they do on the photos posted online, and very clean too. There are lots of things to do very close to the hotel, yet, there is far enough (walking) distance from all of the parties happening at Magaluf and Palmanova.

We didn't like having to deal with a twin bed because there were no double bed's available. There was no Wi-Fi connection.

Very clean, excellent staff and breakfast lovely. Drinks not over expensive and pools lovely.

No tea/coffee/kettle facilities in bedroom?

The room was very clean and a good size. We had great views overlooking the sea from our balcony. The location was also very good as it was away from the noisy bars and streets and just a two min walk to the beach (the more peaceful end of the beach). We travelled as a young couple, but I think the hotel is very family friendly. The breakfast was excellent, great selection of food. The hotel staff were also friendly. Great swimming pools too and great value for money.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The only thing we would fault is Magalluf - it was like visiting blackpool but with sun! Not a place to go if you want to experience some Spanish culture, the place is full of English owned bars and bad food.

the ocean view and reasonably spacious and compact room. great location in the day we ate out everynight a the restaurants were all quiet, and 15 minute walk from house of katmandu amusement park.

Really good all-inclusive package, diverse dining options, multiple pool areas with unique features

Queues during dinner times can be frustrating!!!

Pools were very big and nice lounging areas.,

-Reception always long lines and told us frequently to go to the other building for specific query to be answerd -rooms had super thin walls , not usually the type to be sensitive but Magaluf is an area for 16 -18yr olds to party (im in my 20's) so we could hear a group of girls at 5am debriefing (very loudly) about their night out., -If this is your first time to Mallorca, (would not suggest staying in magaluf unless your t here to party) very loud and there are much more low key bays around mallorca -all interiors were very 2-3star , I have stayed in many ibis, etap, formula 1 hotels and would prob rate approx the etap level. -Hotel breakfast although a large range, not high quality., - extra charges for everything including locker use (which is in the room)

It's location - other than that, my partner and I were not impressed with the service of staff (especially front desk staff at check-in), buffet breakfast including how staff handle this, the state of the room upon arrival (sand grains in sheets!).

Everything but location. In peak summer season it is evident from the staff behaviour they are not interested in standards as the hotel was fully booked - so customer service went out the window. Plus this was the first hotel I have stayed at where they requested charging my credit card up front for the full duration of stay. I would never receommend this hotel to anyone. As this was my first visit to a Sol Hotel chain - I would never again book at a Sol hotel. Definitely not value for money. During my Stay in Mallorca I also stayed at Palma - in a non-SOL Hotel - and the standards were 100% superior compared to this one. There is a huge selection of hotels in the Magaluf area so I would recommend travellers to try other options.

Recommend it for families seeking fun

The kids club was great kids were running everyday to go, felt safe. Housekeeping came in every day even on the day we arrived they changed bin very lovely staff.

It wasn't inexpensive but still, it was acceptable.

The kids absolutely loved the waterpark and the variety of food was impressive. Our room was clean and comfy, just perfect for a family getaway! Would definitely return again for the fun!
